Galway Chamber in partnership with KPMG will host a Breakfast briefing session on Wednesday, 28th September in the g Hotel, Wellpark, Galway.
The morning session will begin with a light breakfast at 7.45am with speakers commencing at 8am. A panel Q&A session will take place at the end of each seminar.
Knowledge Development Box presented by Terri Treacy, Director, KPMG
The Revenue recently published detailed Guidelines on the Knowledge Development Box (KDB). KPMG will provide an overview of the KDB legislation together with a summary of the key provisions contained within the Revenue Guidelines. This new tax incentive is effective for accounting periods commencing on or after 1 January 2016 and KPMG will highlight what companies should be doing now to be best placed to claim this incentive.
Audit & Accounting Considerations of the Companies Accounting Bill 2016 presented by Laurence May, Director, KPMG
The Companies (Accounting) Bill 2016 was published on 5 August 2016. It will have a number of significant implications for companies of all sizes, including, but not limited to, ending many of the current “non-filing” structures for unlimited companies, eliminating the consolidation exemption for medium sized companies and relaxing the accounting and disclosure requirements for small and micro companies. KPMG will provide an overview of some of the main audit and accounting considerations arising from this.
