KPMG: KPMG supports Hospice Africa Ireland

KPMG’s partnership with Hospice Africa Ireland involved a number of important initiatives. Along with three hospices in Uganda, HAI opened a support office in Dublin. KPMG seconded a senior Director to act as interim CEO for the first six months who helped in developing the goals, vision and procedures of the organisation. A vital initiative was the building of a new clinic in Uganda which aims to provide critical care for patients in the district. Over the next three years the firm will fund the new clinical building in Uganda, which will be a centre of excellence in palliative care education for the region. Equally importantly its benefits will stretch beyond Uganda, as medical staff from other countries will be invited to come and share learning and best practice so that they can take these learning’s back to their own countries.
