Alternatives: Marketing for Change

The Marketing for Change programme was launched in 2008. For the first time ever in Ireland, charities have top-level marketing expertise at their disposal at no cost and for no profit.   That’s the big idea of Marketing for Change, a ground-breaking new CSR programme. With a slogan of “Give Time, Give Talent”, marketers are asked to volunteer their skills and marketing experience to charities for an agreed period of time – to work on specific marketing projects that help make a positive difference to the charities. These projects include sharpening the charities marketing to both the public and businesses, developing clear strategies and communications plans, helping to launch fund-raising campaigns, informing advertising and PR and developing strong on-line marketing plans. There are now 33 charities with 60+ projects signed up to the programme. Over 80 Marketers have volunteered and over 30 are currently engaged on projects.
