Chambers Ireland is a member of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation's Retail Consultation Forum and participates in the working group on Retail and Town Centre Renewal. Effective Local Government is a prerequisite for economic development and jobs growth. The funding of local government must be sustainable, equitable and not harmful to competitiveness and job creation. Transparency on commercial rates and value for money for ratepayers must be ensured.
