Chambers Ireland are committed to adopting practices that align with each goal within our own business as well as helping to educate and support businesses across Ireland to embrace the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This webinar series will showcase a number of different aspects to each of these goals, focusing on one goal per week over a 5-week period. Our aim is that our panel of expert speakers will offer practical advice and guidance to businesses of all sizes, particularly SMEs, in incorporating the SDGs into their own business model.

SPEAKERS:
Andrew Walker – Local Government Information Unit
Andrew leads LGIU’s research programme and its work with academic partners. His PhD research on governance and power following devolution to the Greater Manchester City-Region was part of a collaboration between LGIU and Queen Mary, University of London. In the past he has also focussed on housing, homelessness and local economic growth.
Giulia Vallone – Cork County Council
Giulia is a Senior Architect/Urban Designer with Cork County Council, Capital Projects Implementation Unit and has worked for the Irish Local Authorities since 2002. A member of the RIAI Urban Design Committee, Giulia is an advocate of people-centred design and placemaking measures to promote people re-inhabiting the streets of the Irish towns for socio-economic outcomes. Her work with Cork County Council has won several urban design awards, in particular the “Clonakilty 400” Masterplan.
Ken Tobin – Tralee Chamber Alliance
Ken is the Chief Executive of Tralee Chamber Alliance and Co-Founder of HQKerry who established coworking hubs in Tralee and Listowel town centres.

Bernadette Phelan – Business In The Community
Bernadette is Head of Advisory Services in Business in the Community Ireland. She leads and designs BITCI’s advisory services in responsible and sustainable business, working with over 100 corporate members. Within her role, Bernadette is responsible for the CEO-led Leaders’ Group on Sustainability which drives innovation, collaboration and standard setting within sustainability for business.
