Chambers Ireland are committed to adopting practices that align with each goal within our own business as well as helping to educate and support businesses across Ireland to embrace the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This webinar series will showcase a number of different aspects to each of these goals, focusing on one goal per week over a 5-week period. Our aim is that our panel of expert speakers will offer practical advice and guidance to businesses of all sizes, particularly SMEs, in incorporating the SDGs into their own business model.

Joe Gallagher – Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment
Joe is Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development Division in the DCCAE, working on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals as set out in the National Implementation Plan 2018-2020. He is also the Head of Irish Delegation at the UN High Level Political Forum reporting on Ireland’s progress on the SDGs; Chair to the National SDG Stakeholder Forum and is the Department’s main point of contact on all matters SDG-related including the SDG Champions Programme.
Kenny Deery – Galway Chamber
Kenny is Chief Executive Officer of Galway Chamber. Galway Chamber have two subsidiary companies – PorterShed and Galway Technology Centre, both of which have contributed significantly to Galway’s eco-system. Kenny has almost 20 years’ experience in the Retail Banking sector and has a strong background in Business and Community Development, Innovation and Tourism and has been a board member of a number of organisations in the community and tourism sectors in Mayo and Galway.
Sinéad Hickey – Abbott
Sinéad is the Global Sustainability Manger for Abbott and her responsibilities include overseeing CSR efforts in Ireland, as well as the development and implementation of Abbott’s global sustainability strategy across the company. She also responsible for submissions to ESG ratings such as DJSI, MSCI and Sustainalytics.
Sinéad is Chairperson of Chambers Ireland’s Sustainable Business Council.
