  • VMware Ireland

The winner of this award will be announced at the Sustainable Business Impact Awards online ceremony on the 24 September, in addition to the winners of the 14 individual Awards categories. This year, the Awards will be hosted online in a virtual ceremony, so that the health and wellbeing of those shortlisted can be protected.

Announcing the five companies shortlisted, Ian Talbot, Chambers Ireland Chief Executive said,

“In addition to demonstrating CSR practices of the highest standard across their different areas of activity, these companies revealed in today’s shortlist have shown commitment in rising to the challenge of implementing more sustainable business practices.

Further, with the disruptive impact of COVID-19 across Ireland and globally, in various facets of society and business, all companies in today’s shortlist have shown tremendous tenacity in meeting key criteria in the judging process.

I commend the companies shortlisted today for their efforts amidst what are the most unprecedented circumstances.

Following 16 years of the CSR Awards, 2020 marks the first year of these Awards in their evolved format, as the Sustainable Business Impact Awards.

This year also marks the fifth Anniversary of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are at the heart of the Sustainable Business Impact Awards. With this in mind, we continue to encourage companies at all levels to look to the SDGs as a framework to enhance their CSR programmes.

We look forward to the final round of judging for today’s shortlisted projects and to the Awards ceremony itself, taking place in a virtual format on September 24th.

I would like to wish each of the shortlisted companies the very best of luck.”

The Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Impact Awards are sponsored by BAM Ireland and run in association with the Department of Rural and Community Development.
