Positive Start to 2015 but Challenges Remain

Chambers Ireland has welcomed today’s (03/02/15) Exchequer Returns for January which indicated a strong start to 2015.

Speaking this afternoon, Mark O’Mahoney, Director of Policy and Communications, Chambers Ireland said “Today’s Exchequer Returns point to a positive start to 2015 with ongoing strong performance in VAT receipts and income taxes demonstrating an increase in both economic activity and continuing employment growth. The challenge will be in maintaining this level of economic performance given the potential for external shocks in the Eurozone and the threat of rising costs to Irish businesses.”
