With TPP agreed, now is the time to finalise the EU-US trade deal

Chambers Ireland today (5/10/2015) has welcomed news from Atlanta, Georgia, that trade ministers negotiating the Trans Pacific Partnership, a trade deal between the US, Japan and 10 other Pacific Rim nations, have reached a final agreement.

Speaking today, Chambers Ireland CEO Ian Talbot noted, “Today’s announcement from the US that the TPP has finally been agreed is good news for those of us in Europe who would like to see negotiations for a trade deal between the EU and US reach conclusion within the coming 12 months.”

“The conclusion of the Trans Pacific Partnership demonstrates the United States’ commitment to increase trade and open markets. We would now urge the US and EU negotiating teams to show the same commitment and dedication to seeing the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership through to conclusion.”
