Chambers Ireland Welcomes An Post’s move to Zero Emissions Postal Delivery

Following An Post’s announcement of becoming the first postal provider globally to eliminate carbon emissions from all of its deliveries in a capital city, Ian Talbot, Chief Executive of Chambers Ireland, heralded An Post’s leadership on Climate Action and the transition to a low-carbon economy:

“We congratulate An Post for being the first postal service in the world to attain zero carbon emission delivery status in a capital city.  We also welcome the further rolling-out of their green delivery zone to other major cities and towns across Ireland.

The Chamber network is very focussed on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and this has fed into the approach taken in our Manifesto for GE2020. We are delighted to see this leadership on the SDGs from a vital national utility like An Post and we urge other businesses to identify how they can replicate this approach in their own business models.”
